Click the picture below to download an animation I created using Vue d'Esprit 4, Poser 4, and Mover 4 - an animation plugin for Vue d'Esprit 4. It's 2.2mb in size, and 519 frames. It took over 5 hours to render on my 1.4Ghz. The animation features a woman doing several Tai Chi movements while standing on the top of a large stone stair case. Doing the Tai Chi poses took a long time in Poser, and in fact this animation only shows 18 poses out of a possible 42 (as far as I'm aware!). Of course, how accurate they are is another matter!
Thanks to the wonderful DivX codec, it's possible to create large videos of all types and still reduce the file size enough that people can download them easily. So in order to view this video you need the latest version of DivX installed on your computer. Once downloaded and installed, use Windows Media Player to view this AVI movie; it shouldn't have any problems playing it. Sometimes there can be problems with media players not being able to use DivX, but it's a risk you have to take. Compared with the agony of downloading a huge uncompressed video on a 56k, it's worth it. After all, had I not used a compression codec on this video, it may very well have been over a gigabyte in size! Incidentally, if Real Player is configured in a certain way, it may well start playing this video directly from the location, and download a bit at a time. Assuming DivX 5.05 or earlier is installed.
